which unites nine cities and two districts of the Baden area.
Its name, "Technology Region Karlsruhe", is its program.
This region, accommodating the highest density of researchers throughout
Europe is also called the think thank of Germany. Its main focus
is laid on technology, natural sciences and computer science.
The technology region Karlsruhe GdbR faces up to the increasingly
strong competition in the "Europe of the Regions" through
regional marketing activities and new forms of regional-political
co-operation. Regional co-operation is based on the principles of
voluntariness and multidisciplinarity.
